The Mets won the World Series again in 1986 in one of the most spectacular series in the history of Major League Baseball. With their backs against the wall in Game 6, the Mets put together a miraculous comeback against the Boston Red Sox to force a Game 7, which they won as well. Do you know who holds the record for most homers in a single season for the Mets?

The answer is both Carlos Beltran and Todd Hundley. In 2006, Beltran put together a very good season for the Mets, belting 41 homers, driving in 116 runs and also tallying a Gold Glove in the outfield. That year, Beltran matched Hundley for the single-season Mets record in homers. Hundley had previously hit 41 homers back in 1996, the year that he had a career season that led to his first of two All-Star Game appearances.
