NHL tickets to see an all-start game in the National Hockey League were fist introduced to
the sports tickets market long before it was an official yearly event. This first game was actually held as a benefit to support
an injured hockey player and his family. An official all-star game was held in the 1947-48 season. The first all-star games
were played between the defending Stanley Cup Champions and a select group of players from the remaining teams. Nowadays,
fans pick the starters and coachers pick the reserves from the Eastern and Western Conferences.

the teams are divided between East and West, but previously the game had been played between all-stars from North America
