Once you're there soaking up the vibes of a great game loaded with nail-biting moments, you'll be glad that you're not sitting anywhere else.

As the Leafs look to wreak havoc on the East and make a run at a title, there has never been a better time to ditch the couch so you can see the action first-hand. Sure, you could watch from that dingy bar down the street, but it's a completely different experience to actually be watching the drama unfold before your very eyes during all the crucial moments of a highly anticipated matchups.

The Experience

Things have obviously changed a bit since the early days of Roman chariot racing, and there are plenty of options out there these days for sports fans, but it doesn't get any more exciting than hockey played at its highest possible level – the exact thing that you get if you come out to see the Maple Leafs do their thing on the ice. When two amazing teams take to the rink for a highly anticipated game, there are few sporting events that can hold a candle to the atmosphere that you'll experience in the crowd, as the NHL really springs to life when you get a chance to see it all the way it was meant to be seen.

The Team

With Phil Kessel lighting up the back of the net and Jonathan Bernier dominating between the pipes, the Leafs are one of those teams you're going to want to watch this season, as they're once again right in the mix for the playoffs and are looking to put the final touches on another riveting season. They once again have a very nice mix of talented up-and-comers and very solid veterans who know how to get the job done, giving the type of balance and explosiveness that can really make the opposition nervous. With some rising stars and established vets, this is a team that can do it all, guaranteeing an exciting brand of hockey that makes it a great idea to keep an eye on the schedule so you don't miss a second of the action.

Maple Leafs Trivia

Did you that Doug Gilmour holds the record for most points in a season for the Leafs?

Back in 1992-1993, nobody could touch Doug Gilmour on the ice, it seemed, as the hockey legend put together an unbelievable season that ended up with a ridiculous 127 total points, easily setting the franchise record in the process. That year, nobody was better at passing around the puck than Gilmour, as he racked up 95 assists to set the franchise record in that department as well.

The History

The Toronto maple Leafs were founded very early in the NHL's history, having a long and storied tradition of greatness on the ice dating back as early as 1917. The Leafs took home five championships in the 1940s and have put together plenty of winning seasons since, giving their fans plenty of thrills over the years. With the Leafs looking to capture their first division title since 1999-2000, there has never been a better time to be a Leafs fan as they enter a new era of hockey sure to be loaded with thrills thanks to a talented franchise that is clearly back on the rise.

The Fans

Air Canada Centre tickets are always some of the hottest tickets around Toronto, and you'll definitely figure out why if you head out to the stands to join in the game alongside tens of thousands of your fellow fans. There is nothing like being there for all the big moments of a prominent matchup, as the buzz of the crowd is known to rise to unbelievable levels when the Leafs are looking to put up a clutch goal to seal the deal.

These are some of the best players in all the world, which is just one of the reasons that fans pack into Air Canada Centre on the regular to cheer for their team to once again make a run all the way to the top of the Eastern Conference standings. It's never easy thanks to plenty of big-time rivalries that keep the Leafs on their toes, such as their heated rivalry with the nearby Buffalo Sabres, but that only makes the hockey that much more riveting and exciting for the fans. This is a group that has a reputation for being some of the most passionate hockey fans you'll find anywhere, helping make for the perfect atmosphere for each and every home game at the Air Canada Centre.
