        NIU Convocation Center Tickets — About the Arena

        Before the NIU Convocation Center was opened in 2002, the Northern Illinois basketball program used the Chick Evans Field House for their home games. If you are considering getting tickets, we recommend that you take a look at the NIU Convocation Center seating chart so that you know where your seats will be located. The arena can sit over 10,000 people in the stands for most events. On the occasion that there is a concert here, more seats are available on the floor.

        Northern Illinois University Convocation Center is located on the campus in DeKalb, Illinois. It is only a short drive from the greater Chicago area, so college hoops fans have been known to take a trip out to NIU when there is a good hoops game going on.
