Each year as college football season gets underway, Fargo, North Dakota
is abuzz with excitement for the North Dakota State Bison who are traditionally one of the top teams in the Missouri Valley
Football Conference. There has perhaps never been more excitement surrounding the Bison as they are coming off an unblemished
2013 season which saw them finish 15-0 as they finally started to earn some attention from the national media as one of the
premiere programs in the country. North Dakota State will be looking to make another undefeated march through the Missouri
Valley Conference and they will need all the support they can get from their fans if they are to do so with every team in
the conference looking to take them down. Every game counts if the Bison are going to continue to establish themselves as

home opener for the Bison will take place at the Fargodome on September 13th when the Incarnate Word Cardinals come to town.

the Fargodome on the 20th. October 11th will be the Homecoming game and you can expect all of the pageantry and tradition
associated with the weekend to be in full swing as the Bison take on the Southern Illinois Salukis. Home games against the
Indiana State Sycamores and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits follow on October 18th and November 1st, respectively. The
final home game of the year will be on Saturday, November 22nd against the Youngstown State Penguins. Last year the Penguins
finished just behind the Bison at second in the Missouri Valley Conference and this could be one of the most hotly contested

off of an undefeated 2013 season. Chris Klieman will be entering his first year as head coach but is well familiar with the
players and the program after serving as the team's defensive coordinator so fans can expect a seamless transition. He will
be helped by a strong core of returning players who will be looking to keep the program's undefeated streak alive. The strength
of North Dakota State's program has served as both a blessing and a curse as it has frightened off some of the better known
programs in the country who will not schedule the Bison for fear of losing. This year the Bison will open their season with

The Missouri Valley Football Conference
may be seen as a "mid-major" by sports commentators but this Division I conference is not to be overlooked. The conference
began football play in 1985 and is a football only conference that originally combined schools from three other conferences,
the Missouri Valley Conference, the Gateway Collegiate Athletic Conference, and the Association of Mid-Continent Universities.
There are ten universities that participate in the Missouri Valley Football Conference: North Dakota State, Youngstown State,
South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, South Dakota, Northern Iowa, Western Illinois, and Indiana State. North Dakota State
have proven themselves to be one of the most dominant programs not only in the conference but also in the country and are
entering the 2014 season as the reigning conference champs after going a perfect 15-0 in 2013. For high quality college football
