Notre Dame Stadium Event Tickets
Built in 1930 during the Knute
Rockne era, the Notre Dame Stadium was designed by the Osborn Engineering Company. This company was responsible for designs
of many famous stadiums including Comiskey Park in Chicago, the Yankee Stadium and the Polo Grounds in New York City, and
facilities at Michigan, Indiana, Purdue and Minnesota. But it was the triumph of Knute's football teams that built the foundation
and the lore of the venue. The spirit that was instilled by the Rockne era has been sustained by seven Heisman trophy winners
and dozens more All-Americans who have rivaled on the turf. Today, fans still revel in the tradition of Notre Dame football.
And with StubHub you're one step closer to joining these loyal fans in the stands for a day of camaraderie and excitement!
Notre Dame Stadium
There have been many remarkable moments that have taken place at the Notre Dame Stadium. From
the first season played in Notre Dame Stadium in 1930 through 2007, the Fighting
Irish have played 399 games at the stadium with a home record of 298-96-5 with home attendance for the same period recorded
at an astounding 22.8 million! Every Irish home game since 1966 has been a successful sellout with the exception of a match-up
held on Thanksgiving Day with the Air Force in 1973. That game was switched to the holiday to oblige national TV and was played
with students absent from campus. The final home game of 1991 against Tennessee achieved two more stadium milestones. The
100th straight sellout crowd attended the 300th game of the Notre Dame Stadium.

you know Notre Dame officials allowed only two movies to be shot at the Notre Dame campus in the history of the university?
The first was Knute Rockne All American, which was released in 1940. Pat O'Brien was cast as Rockne, and Ronald Reagan as
his most famous player, George Gipp, fondly known as "The Gipper." The flick, Rudy, was the second. The 1993 movie recounts
the life of Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger who held onto his dreams of playing football at Notre Dame despite tremendous hurdles.
The movie's climax - Rudy's final game - takes place during halftime at the game between Notre Dame and Boston College in
1992. So dedicated to the traditions of Notre Dame Stadium, music concerts are not held at the famous venue.
