Dan Goggin first portrayed his quirky band of nuns in his greeting card series. The cards featured a nun who offered quick-witted
comments. The cards became really popular, and soon Goggin was developing a cabaret act called The Nunsense Story. It debuted
at Manhattan's Duplex and remained there for 38 weeks, even though it was only supposed to be a four-week slant. It was expanded
into a full-length production after its success as a cabaret act. It opened in 1985 at the Cherry Lane Theatre. It has become
a huge success over the years, spawning several sequels, TV specials and albums. More than 25,000women have played in Nunsense

south of France. They discover that while they were out playing bingo one night, their cook accidentally poisoned the other
residents of the convent. Now, they are faced with the task of paying for the burials for all the deceased nuns. Mother Superior
gets a vision to start a greeting card company to help pay for the burials. Thinking the money has already been raised, she
goes out and buys a home entertainment system with some of the money. With four of the nuns still unburied, the nuns decide
to put on a variety show to raise money to pay for the burials of the remaining nuns. Hilarity ensues, and a fantastic entertainment
experience is had by all!
