The Schedule in 2013
The Oakland Raiders are prepared to hit the field this season to take on some of the most
talented teams in the National Football League. This Raiders team has a lot of promise, but that doesn't always result in
wins on the football field. 2013 holds a lot of tough matchups for Oakland, and fans are clamoring for the chance to attend
some of the biggest home games of the season.
On December 15th, the Raiders have a tough matchup coming their way when
the Kansas City Chiefs head into town. This Kansas City team looks rejuvenated by a new regime that brought in head coach
Andy Reid and quarterback Alex Smith in the offseason. The Chiefs boast one of the best rushing attacks in the National Football
League thanks to talented runner Jamaal Charles. Charles is one of the most elusive running backs in the league and is always
a threat to take any carry into the end zone. The Raiders will have to slow Charles down if they hope to win this contest.
Raiders will finish out their home schedule this season with a visit from the Denver Broncos. With one of the best offenses
in the league, the Broncos are sure to be tough to stop in Oakland. Quarterback Peyton Manning is one of the top players to
ever line up under center in the NFL, and while fans have seen a lot of potential in Oakland QB Terrell Pryor, there is certainly
no confusing the two. The Oakland defense will have to be the unit to win this game.
Raiders are in a bit of a rebuilding phase right now, but that doesn't mean they don't have a lot of talent on their roster.
The team has one of the most dynamic running backs in the league in Darren McFadden, who is the centerpiece of this Raiders
offense. McFadden has had some trouble staying healthy throughout his career, though, so his durability will be a key for
this team this season.
The big wild card for the Raiders this season is their starting quarterback, Terrell Pryor. Pryor
is supremely talented, possessing great speed and size, but there are questions about how skilled of a passer he is. Pryor
will surely be looking to silence the critics and establish his spot as the starting quarterback of the Oakland Raiders now
and going forward.
