The band formed in Philadelphia, PA in early 2000, and has been performing together ever since. They have had the privilege of playing with some of the best acts in musical history including The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Three Doors Down. Except for vocalist Brian Bortnick, the members of Octane were largely unknown in their solo careers. But when the members got together and formed a band, some sort of musical magic occurred, bringing them much success and a fiercely loyal following. Their reputation for excellent quality of music precedes them because bands like Sevendust, Fuel Breaking Benjamin and Disturbed have sought out the amazing group to share the stage with them. Their first big break came when Octane performed on The Opie and Anthony Show at their XM Studio, when they were able to play five acoustic songs live on the air to millions of listeners. Octane has also performed at two Virus Tours events and other big name tours. After a brief split to work on solo projects, the group came back together in 2012 to play a reunion concert at The Electric Factory in Philadelphia with all of its original members. After the concert, the band announced that they would be getting back to together to write and release a new album. Although the road has sometimes been rocky for the group, they have stayed strong and stayed true to their music and their unique sound.
