Other Lives didn't start out as the indie-pop act that they are today. When they first formed way back in 2004, they were
an instrumental band called Kunek. A lot has changed since then, and the band has added vocals - as well as gained a lot of
fans. Make sure you secure concert tickets for
this Oklahoma-based act today.
Other Lives started as an instrumental band in Stillwater, OK. Called Kunek, the band's members decided in short order
that they could be a more traditional indie-pop band with vocals. They released a debut LP, Flight of the Flynns, in 2006.
A self-titled LP followed in 2009, earning them greater acclaim from music press outlets. In 2011, they followed up with yet
another LP, Tamer Animals.
You don't have to travel way out to Oklahoma to hear Other Lives live on stage. Just check them out when they come to New
York's Mercury Lounge, one
of the coolest and most intimate venues in the city. The Lounge is stationed in a building that formerly housed servants for
Astor Mansion, and opened as a music venue in 1993.
