Ottmar Liebert was born in Colonge, Germany and eventually settled in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he played with different jazz funk bands. Liebert then started playing the acoustic guitar in restaurants. He released the album "Nouveau Flamenco"in 1990 which received a lot of radio airplay though it was originally only meant for local fans and friends.
