Lupone will be hitting the stage this spring for an exciting new tour that will take her all around the nation. Lupone will be performing out west in April for multiple shows at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, CA. Later in the month she will be coming to the eastern part of the country, where she'll remain for the rest of the tour. Early May will see this artist team up with Mandy Patinkin for three shows at The Oncenter Crouse in Syracuse, NY, and the pair will put on another three-date, five-show run at the Scranton Cultural Center in Scranton, PA. Lupone will close things out with a solo show on May 18th at The Bushnell in Hartford, CT. She'll also be playing a show in July at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA.


About the Artist

Born in 1949, Patti Lupone got her start as an entertainer fairly early in life, as she used to perform with her brothers on Long Island as the Luponne Trio when they were young. Part of the first graduating class of Julliard's Drama Division, Patti quickly set off as an entertainer by joining as one of the original members of The Acting Company, a nationally touring theater company. From there she appeared in a wide slew of productions until her Broadway debut in the play The Three Sisters. She continued on in popular productions such as Evita and Les Miserables, as well as appearing in television and film. Through her decades worth of amazing work on and off the stage, Patti Lupone stands as one of the greatest performers and singers around today, and she definitely has the accolades to prove it. In 1976 she was nominated for her first Tony and Drama Desk Awards for her work in The Robber Bridegroom, but after this it was almost all wins for Patti. In 1980 she won a Tony and Drama Desk Award, both for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for her work in Evita. Only a few years later she won two more awards, and this has continued on until today.

That's right; Lupone settled on the name "Patti Lupone: A Memoir," after holding a contest to help get ideas. The book spanned from her childhood all the way through her career up until its release, which came in 2010. This book gave her fans an extra glimpse into her life, something that they surely enjoyed thoroughly.
