life, as she used to perform with her brothers on Long Island as the Luponne Trio when they were young. Part of the first
graduating class of Julliard's Drama Division, Patti quickly set off as an entertainer by joining as one of the original members
of The Acting Company, a nationally touring theater company. From there she appeared in a wide slew of productions until her
Broadway debut in the play The Three Sisters. She continued on in popular productions such as Evita and Les Miserables, as
well as appearing in television and film. Through her decades worth of amazing work on and off the stage, Patti Lupone stands
as one of the greatest performers and singers around today, and she definitely has the accolades to prove it. In 1976 she
was nominated for her first Tony and Drama Desk Awards for her work in The Robber Bridegroom, but after this it was almost
all wins for Patti. In 1980 she won a Tony and Drama Desk Award, both for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical
for her work in Evita. Only a few years later she won two more awards, and this has continued on until today.
