Born Patricia Lee Ramey in Pikeville, KY, Loveless started an early career in country music when she picked up a guitar at just 11 years old. After impressing Porter Wagoner, she began playing with Dolly Parton on weekends while finishing her high school degree and was the featured vocalist for the Wilburn Brothers’ band. She rose to stardom shortly thereafter with her honky tonk sound.
