Pawtucket Red Sox Team Info

This is a team that can do a little bit of everything, with plenty of ballplayers who can turn the direction of a big game in a real hurry as they look to once again be a big-time factor in the Triple-A. But watching them at home just won't do this team justice, which is why it's always a good idea to put down the remote so you can see the action up close and personal. As the farm team of the Boston Red Sox, this is a team that definitely has its fair share of talent from season to season, but you're not really going to appreciate that until you actually get out and join in the action for yourself. Great players who have come through the roster include Jon Lester, Nomar Garciaparra, John Olerud, Manny Ramirez, Dustin Pedroia and Jim Rice, and that's really just the tip of the iceberg. If you're looking for some of the stars of both today and tomorrow, you're definitely in the right spot.

Pro Baseball Experience

Though things have changed quite a bit since the early days, the game is still as exciting as ever, as Major League Baseball routinely brings together some of the most skilled ballplayers in the world to battle it out on the diamond in a game that is sure to be filled with passion and energy. Don't even think about missing out on a great game that you'll be talking about well after the final pitch. The Pawtucket Red Sox know how to bring it on the diamond from game to game and season to season, and that's a tradition that remains intact as the Red Sox look to dominate on the diamond once again this year.

Pawtucket Red Sox History

The Pawtucket Red Sox were founded in 1970 as the Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, one of the most famous baseball teams in the world. The Paw Sox, as New Englanders call them, have been in several Governors' Cups and have even won a couple of them, cementing them as one of the best teams in Minor League Baseball in the process. Interestingly enough, the longest game in baseball history was played between the Pawtucket Red Sox and the Rochester Red Wings in 1981-a game that went a ridiculous 33 innings. With a rich history, a great affiliate and an impressive tradition, it doesn't get any better than Pawtucket Red Sox baseball.
