Jim Thorpe is a borough located in the state of Pennsylvania, seated in Carbon County. The town was founded
in 1818 and was originally known as Mauch Chunk. Mauch Chiunk was renamed Jim Thorpe following the 1953 death of the athlete
of the same name. Thorpe was a legendary athletic competitor that is best-known for his accomplishments in the Olympics and
the National Football League. This location was billed as one of the Top 10 Coolest Small Towns in America in 2009 with Budget
Travel Magazine, and has made its way onto other lists ranking the most beautiful small towns in the country. With a population
