Perry Stadium

General Info:

Up Up

For decades now, Doyt Perry Stadium has been the home to thousands of sports fans who come from all across Cleveland to enjoy watching Bowling Green State University's teams. The stadium was first built in 1966 for approximately $3 million, and was an upgrade of sorts over the University Stadium, which was 43 years old at the time.

Directions:

Up Up

Doyt Perry Stadium is located on the campus of Bowling Green State University. The easiest ways to get there are by taking the I-75 or the 64/105. From the north or south, take the I-75 and get off on Wooster Street (coming from the north) or Bowling Green Road East (coming from the south). Head east and turn right on Alumni Drive, then right again on Mercer Drive. The campus entrance will be on your right. If coming from the east or west, take the 105/64 to Wooster Drive.

Parking around the campus is plentiful, but you may need to search around a bit for a spot. Make sure that you come early in order to allow yourself enough to find a parking space closer to the stadium.

Doyt Perry Stadium is named after the great Bowling Green University football coach, Doyt Perry, who took a team that consistently landed in the bottom of the rankings and brought them up to the very top. For that, he's become a beloved figure in Bowling Green University lore, and his name lives on as people go to watch games on campus.
