The Eagles in the Playoffs
The Philadelphia Eagles are looking good in 2013 under the leadership of new head coach
Chip Kelly. Kelly was one of the top coaches in the college football ranks before leaving Oregon to coach the Eagles this
past offseason. The move is looking like stroke of genius on the part of the Eagles organization, as the Eagles offense is
firing on all cylinders. Kelly was hailed as an offensive guru in the collegiate game, and it appears that his system has
translated well to the pro game. Kelly has found the quarterback for his system in Nick Foles, the second-year pro that looked
solid on some brief appearances in 2012. Foles has been nothing short of dynamic in the 2013, though, and he threw an incredible
19 touchdown passes before throwing a single interception this season. Foles has some nice weapons at his disposal, including
electric wide receiver DeSean Jackson. Jackson is a threat to take it to the end zone every time he touches the ball, and
it's always nice for a quarterback to have a legitimate big play threat.
If the Eagles can reach the postseason, the
team will be looking for this high-flying offense to carry them to the Super Bowl, which would be a heck of an accomplishment
with a first-year coach and a second-year quarterback. Still, it's definitely possible with an offense that can put up points
like this one. Defensively, the Eagles had their struggled early in the season, but are looking stronger as the season progresses.
That could be the key to just how far the Eagles can get in the playoffs.
The Philadelphia Eagles
look to be one of the better teams in the NFC this season thanks to a potent offense led by head coach Chip Kelly. With Nick
Foles under center, Kelly's offense has truly taken flight, and the Eagles are looking to soar into the postseason. Philadelphia
has taken down some quality teams over the course of the 2013 season, showing that they're ready to play with the big boys
of the NFC. The National Football League is filled with quality teams, and there are always some solid squads left out of
the postseason, but the Eagles are determined not to be left on the outside looking in. That's easier said than done, but
if the Eagles can keep putting up points like they have been they're going to be tough to take down.
is a different breed, and a strong defense can usually help a team in a big way in the postseason. However, we've seen offensive
teams go deep into the playoffs in the past, and the Eagles are hoping to emulate that formula as best as possible. If the
Eagles earn a home playoff game, things are sure to be absolutely wild in the stadium. There's nothing that beats playoff
football, and Eagles fans are known for their passion.
The Philadelphia Eagles certainly
have no shortage of talent on their roster, and team is hoping that such a stockpile of talented players can get the team
to the postseason. Being there in person is the best way to witness a game, and that goes double for a playoff game. The excitement
in the air at postseason contest is something that every football fan has to experience for themselves at least one time.
Once you get a taste of the atmosphere at a playoff matchup, though, you're sure to want more. There's just something magical
about seeing your favorite team digging in with the game on the line, and really their season on the line. It's won or go
home in the NFL playoffs, which is what makes every postseason contest so riveting. The stakes are never higher and the excitement
in the crowd is never more palatable.
