About Philly Pops
its 35th anniversary, the Philly Pops orchestra is currently under the direction of Music Director, Michael Krajewski. The
Philly Pops orchestra was founded and conducted by Grammy Award-winning pianist Peter Nero, and it is known for its orchestral
versions of popular swing, jazz, blues, and Broadway songs. The Philly Pops orchestra plays a wide variety of musical genres,
and draws eclectic crowds of all kinds of music lovers. The talented group of musicians have continued to enthrall and excite
their audiences with their unique energy and talents.
In addition to his new position as Music Director, Michael Krajewski
has also served as the principal pops conductor of the Houston Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony
Orchestra, and he has performed as a guest conductor with the Cleveland and Philadelphia Orchestras, the Boston and Cincinnati
Pops, and the symphonies for San Francisco, Baltimore, Detroit, Indianapolis, Seattle, Dallas, St. Louis, and Pittsburg. He
has also performed in Dublin and Belfast with the Ulster Orchestra, and with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Hong Kong
Philharmonic. With such an illustrious musical career, it's no surprise why Michael Krajewski has become one of the most sought-after
conductors. Backed by the musical prowess and direction of Michael Krajewski, the Philly Pops orchestra is going to be unstoppable
