It takes quite a place to be able to create a reputation for top live events. Years of booking top concert events is the task at hand for any venue looking to carve out a
name for themselves in the concert world. One place that has done this is the Pit Pub in Vancouver.
This Vancouver venue has been able to attract many top names to its stage.
The idea for the Pit Pub began with a vision of UBC's Associate Professor of Zoology David Suzuki back in 1968. His idea
for an on-campus pub earned the support of the rest of the university, and it soon started operating out of the SUB ballroom.
In 1973, the Pit Pub got its own location after a couple months of delays and soon became a favorite campus hangout.
One of the reasons that there is so much buzz about the Pit Pub is because it sits on the campus of the University of British
Columbia. The Pit Pub underwent a major renovation in 1992 that modernized the concert experience by including a new sound
system and new lighting. In addition, the renovation also brought a new bar and dance floor along with wheel chair access.
The Pit Pub aims to please throughout the week with a variety of events and specials. The Pit Pub has many drink specials
and many top live events. Because the fun is
a near constant at the Pit Pub, it is a fantastic place for a group gathering. Round up your friends and head out to the Pit
Pub this weekend and everyone will have a new favorite hangout.
