Heinz Field History

Heinz Field was first opened to the public in 2001, as the Pittsburgh Steelers moved from Three Rivers Stadium, their previous home. Ground was broken on the project in June 1999, and the structure was finished in time for the start of the 2001 National Football League season. Since, the Steelers have put together many a winning season in this building, using their fierce home crowd to bolster them to a lot of big victories. The Steelers have made the postseason more than a handful of times since the opening of Heinz Field, even capturing two Super Bowl wins in that time period.

Calls to Action

If you've never been to Heinz Field for a Pittsburgh Steelers football game, then you've been sorely missing out as a fan of the team. Getting out to see a game in person is the best way to experience all there is to enjoy about an NFL game, and watching the contest on TC pales in comparison. When you head to the game it's always a good idea to secure parking passes in advance; that way you won't be driving around the parking lots looking for a space when you should be in your seats for kickoff.
