P.J. Harvey tickets are now available! This British artist hit it big in early 90’s
with a style that’s equal measures alternative rock and heartfelt, confessional singer/songwriter fare. Harvey’s
writing has distinguished her as a brutally honest musician willing to take the drama of being alive and in love and turn
it into darkly gleaming pop gems.
P.J. Harvey was born Polly Jean Harvey and raised on a sheep farm in Yeovil, England. Harvey learned to play the guitar
and saxophone at a young age, and by the time she was a teenager she was playing in local bands. In 1992, she released her
debut, Dry. But it was the following year’s Rid of Me that made her an alt-rock success.
Post-Rid of Me, Harvey has had a long and fascinating career, putting out critically acclaimed albums and even scoring
a Broadway production of Hedda Gabler. When on stage, her performances enrapture audiences, and you won’t want to
miss seeing this artist singing, growling or screeching her heart out if concert tickets
are available.
