About Plain White Ts

The Plain White Ts were formed in 1997 in Illinois, and they released their first album by 2000. The debut album, "Come On Over," started to garner the band a following and several songs from the album appeared on MTV's "Undressed" series. Plain White Ts went on to release their next album, "Stop," in 2001, and it was subsequently re-released under a different label. Following a lineup change and a switch to a new record company, Plain White Ts released their breakthrough album, "All That We Needed," in 2005. The album was a massive success, with the single "Hey There Delilah" topping the charts and being played on radio stations all around the country. "Hey There Delilah" hit the number 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for two straight weeks, and it eventually earned the band two Grammy nominations.

Blazing a trail of success, Plain White Ts followed up with the release of their album, "Every Second Counts," which hit the number 10 position on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold. At this point, fans just couldn't get enough of the Plain White Ts' pop-punk sound, and their next album, "Big Bad World," was likewise a success. This album produced the single, "1, 2, 3, 4," which reached number 34 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and it was certified platinum. With so many successful hits and albums, it's clear that the Plain White Ts are here to stay, and fans can expect more exciting music in the future from this band.

Plain White Ts' Breakthrough Album

Plain White Ts started to develop a steady fan base after the release of their first two albums, "Come On Over" and "Stop." However, it was their album "All That We Needed" that really launched this band to another level of success. Backed by the massively successful song, "Hey There Delilah," the album was a commercial success, and it seemed to be in everyone's music collection during the year of its release. "Hey There Delilah" topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and it became one of the most frequently played songs on the radio during 2007. To date, the single has sold millions of copies in the United States alone, and it became one of the best-selling singles in the UK during 2007 as well. With the incredible success of "All That We Needed," Plain White Ts were able to subsequently release several more records that were met with praise. Their single, "1, 2, 3, 4" from the album "Big Bad World" hit the number 34 position on the Billboard Hot 100, and it sold over one million digital copies, proving that the band wasn't just a one-hit wonder. Now with several successful albums under their belt, Plain White Ts have continued to make great new music and tour all over.
