has its roots in Opole, Poland, where it was founded in 1947. In 1952, a permanent home was created for them in Opole, leading
to them growing and expanding as a permanent cultural treasure.
Over the course of several decades, the Polish Philharmonic has graced numerous major music festivals. They have toured
extensively outside of the country, including countries throughout Europe like Spain, Switzerland and the U.K. They have also
been to South America and Japan. But until 2011, they had never come to the U.S.
