Portland Trail Blazers Schedule in 2014-15
The Portland Trail Blazers are ready to blaze a trail through the Western
Conference this season, and fans of the team are confident that this is a squad that can make its mark on the National Basketball
League in 2014-15. The Blazers are coming off a great 2013-14 season in which they not only made the postseason but were able
to capture a victory in the first round of the playoffs as well. The Blazers have a talented team that is only scratching
the surface of their potential, and that has Portland fans excited for this season. The Western Conference is a regular murderer's
row of tough teams, though, so the Blazers are going to have to play well at home this season to nab one of the top spots
in the conference ranks.
The Blazers will certainly look to elevate their game when the Oklahoma City Thunder come to
town. The Thunder have won the Northwest Division title for several seasons in a row, and they were able to earn the second-best
record in the conference in 2013-14. With Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook leading the charge, the Thunder could very well
contend for the NBA title this season. The Blazers would love to get some wins against their divisional rivals when they come
into the Moda Center this season.
Portland will also look to play well when the Denver Nuggets, another divisional foe,
come to town this season. The Nuggets made some big moves in the offseason, and it looks like they'll be a much more powerful
opponents in 2014-14. With a backcourt of Ty Lawson and Arron Afflalo, the Blazers guards are going to have to play good defense
and limit the opportunities for those two players. There plenty of other tough opponents slated to visit Portland this season,
and you can be there for all the biggest games by perusing the schedule to see when certain teams are coming to town.
Portland Trail Blazers Team Info
The Portland Trail Blazers are ready to continue their ascent in the Western
Conference this season, as they're coming off a somewhat surprising 2013-14 campaign that saw them earn the fifth seed in
the West playoffs. The Blazers have one of the best forwards in the game today in LaMarcus Aldridge, who had a stellar season
last year. Aldridge even got some MVP buzz early in the year, and his performance in the playoffs helped the team take down
the Houston Rockets in the first round. The Blazers have another very good player in point guard Damian Lillard, who has proven
to be excellent in his first two seasons in the pros. Lillard won the NBA's Rookie of the Year award two years ago and followed
that up with a fantastic sophomore campaign. While Aldridge and Lillard are certainly the dynamic duo that makes this team
go, the Blazers have surrounded them with some very good role players. Nicolas Batum is one of the most underrated players
in the entire NBA, as his defensive prowess and offensive versatility give the Blazers a big advantage over most opposing
teams. With other solid guys like Wesley Matthews and Robin Lopez, the Blazers have a well-rounded team that could catapult
themselves to the top half of the conference this season. Portland made two good signings in the offseason as well to add
to their depth, adding center Chris Kaman and point guard Steve Blake to come off the bench. It could be another banner season
in Portland in 2014-15.

Portland big man LaMarcus Aldridge?
The answer is the Chicago Bulls, who promptly traded him to Portland on draft night
in 2006. Aldridge was essentially traded to Chicago for Tyrus Thomas, and Aldridge has had a much better career. The Texas
product is coming off his best season as a pro, as his 2013-14 campaign established him as one of the premier big men in the
