Ross Ade Stadium is the home of the Purdue Boilermakers football team. This venue has been the go-to place for college football action on the Purdue University campus in West Lafayette, Indiana since 1924, when the stadium first opened as home to the Boilermakers program. Since then, the stadium has undergone several renovations, making it a state-of-the-art venue that is known for selling out seats.This venue sees some fantastic matchups on a regular basis, and that will be the case yet again in 2014. The Boilermakers will host the Iowa Hawkeyes this season in what should be a great contest between two proud programs. The Badgers always have a team filled with tough players, and this season should be no different. The Boilermakers will looks to send them home with a loss, much to the joy of their loyal fans.

Ross Ade Stadium has been the home of the Purdue Boilermakers football team since 1924, though the capacity has been raised substantially since the early going due to some state-of-the-art renovations. If you've never been out to Ross Ade Stadium, or if it's simply been a while, there has never been a better time to change that as the Boilermakers look to light up the scoreboard and give their fans another memorable season loaded with unbelievable moments. Purdue has had many memorable seasons in this building, and every passing year adds to that history.

Historic Events

Ross Ade Stadium has been the site of many a fantastic finish over the years, and loads of great games have been played there. One of the most memorable games played at this venue took place back in 1980 when a record 71,629 people showed up to watch the Boilermakers take on the Indiana Hoosiers on the football field. Some other great contests have been held at this venue, especially some of the Boilermakers' Big Ten matchups over the years.

Purdue is called the "Cradle of Quarterbacks" because it has yielded top quarterbacks like Drew Brees, Kyle Orton and Bob Griese – a few guys you probably heard of, unless you've been living under a rock.
