These players know that they're going to have to elevate their game in Big 10 play if they're going to rise to the top of the conference ranks in 2013-14, and the fans will be showing up for all the biggest games this season to support them. The Boilermakers will see some of the best teams in the Big 10 visit Mackay Arena this season, and the stands will be brimming with fans that are looking to see a Purdue victory in person.

The Boilermakers have a tough game coming their way when the Ohio State Buckeyes come to town. The Buckeyes have one of the best college basketball programs in the women's game, as well as the men's, and the routinely post a great win total. The Boilermakers will look to slow down the Ohio State fast break in this contest, something that is easier said than done. The Buckeyes have a number of talented offensive players that can light it up on the court, and Purdue will have to play disciplined defense in order to slow them down. Fans will pack into the arena to be a part of this contest, and you can be one of them.

The Boilermakers will finish out their home schedule on March 2nd when the Nebraska Cornhuskers hit the court at Mackay Arena to try and defeat Purdue. The Purdue Boilermakers women's basketball program dates back to 1975, when the team first started intercollegiate play. Since then the Boilermakers have played in some truly memorable games and seen some great players come through the program. Purdue has made it to the NCAA Tournament many times and been to the Final Four three times. The Boilermakers experienced their biggest season in 1999 when they went all the way to the National Title Game, where they emerged victorious to claim their sole National Championship. Each season this team adds to the already rich history of this amazing college hoops program.
