The brilliant mind behind the Remix Artist Collective, better known as Rac, is Andre Allen Anjos.
Anjos, along with other international talents, have masterminded creative remixes that rise above the "club mixes" that normally
dominate dance floors. They mash up a distinctive combination of hip-hop with antiquated drum machine samples and melodious
In an interview with the riverfronttimes.com,Chris Crookram Angelovski, part of the Rac collective, said: "Andre's
music has always struck me as being very powerful, and at the same time very free. It's quite unlike my own music, which is
much more reserved and melancholy. I like that contrast between our styles. Andre's tracks give me a glimpse into a musical
world I could never create myself, but it's a world I really like nonetheless."
Wondering where you can catch Rac on
the road? You can find them at venues like the Royale Boston in Boston, Massachusetts; Terminal 5 in New York, New York; Theatre
of Living Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, California; The Warfield in San Francisco, California;
and more! Don't miss another funky beat and sign up for event updates through StubHub so you'll always know when Rac is headed

A native of Portugal, Andre Allen Anjos took up guitar and piano as
a child. And during his formative teenage years, he played with the band, Believe. He migrated to Illinois to further his
studies in music at Greenville College. Eventually, he pulled up stakes again and moved to Portland, Oregon. Disappointed
with the remixes that saturated the music scene of the mid-2000s, Anjos formed Rac, along with Chris Crookram Angelovski and
Aaron Jasinski. Karl Kling and Andrew Maury signed on to the collective later on. Rac's authentic approach revolved around
recreating the tunes of artists rather than splicing dance beats into their songs. They showcased their new style with a recreation
of "Sleeping Lessons," by the Shins. They kept the momentum going by collaborating with Bloc Party, Surfer Blood and Foster
the People. Stereogum, the renowned music website, issued Rac's catalog in 2008. That same year, Nintendo vs. Sega, their
debut EP, dropped. In 2012, Anjos made original material available when the track, "Hollywood," appeared in the summer. Rac
eventually inked a deal with Cherrytree Records and issued the Don't Talk To EP. Rac's first official album, Strangers, was
originally put out as a pair of EPs in 2014 and then took shape as a full-length effort in the spring of that year.
Consistently coloring outside the lines with their music, Rac drifts from the typical "club mix,"
by offering audiences original manifestations of songs. The evidence lies in their albums, Holy Rollers OST (2010) and Strangers
(2014). Rac has also released a number of EPs, which include: RAC Vol. 1 (2008); Nintendo VS Sega (2008); RAC Vol. 1.5 (2009);
Nintendo VS Sega 2 (2011); RAC Vol. 2 (2011); Chapter One (2012); Don't Talk To (2013); Strangers Part I (2014); and Strangers
Part II (2014).
Rac's brand of music has experienced exponential growth fueled by the power
of the Internet. In fact, big-name gossip blogger Perez Hilton posted the "Shopaholic" remix and other high-traffic sites
like Pitchfork Media and The Music Slut have streamed Rac's music as well.
