Real Salt Lake Playoff Schedule
After finishing in third place in the Western Conference of the MLS, Real Salt
Lake is ready to make another deep run in the playoffs. They are one of the newest teams in the league but have wasted no
time in establishing themselves as one of the league's best. After making it to the MLS Cup Finals in 2013 where they fell
to Sporting Kansas City, Real Salt Lake will be looking to make it to a second consecutive final, this time bringing home
the championship. This goal certainly seems achievable as the team finished the regular season on an upswing and should be
able to enter the playoffs with both confidence and momentum.
It all starts with advancing past the Western Conference
Knockout Round in the MLS Playoffs and Real Salt Lake will surely have their hands full trying to make it out of the talented
Western Conference. Should they get past the Knockout Round Real Salt Lake will move on to the Western Conference Semifinals
where they will be playing at least one game at home at Rio Tinto Stadium. Following that it would be on to the Western Conference
Finals where once again one leg of the playoff will be held in Salt Lake City. Sunday December 7th marks the MLS Cup Final
which could also be held at Rio Tinito Stadium so Real Salt Lake could have a significant home field advantage should they
make it that far. Be sure to get your tickets to support Real Salt Lake in their playoff run from StubHub as soon as possible.
Real Salt Lake joined the MLS in 2005 and won their first MLS Cup in 2009. Four years later they returned
to the MLS Cup Final where they lost to Sporting Kansas City. They also have finished second in the CONCACAF Champions League,
the MLS Supporters' Shield, and the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Clearly the franchise has wasted no time in becoming one of
the best teams in all of North America and look to be set to continue impressing their fans for years to come.
There are few events as exciting as seeing one top notch soccer team compete at home against another and
that is exactly what you get during the MLS Playoffs. Both sides have been working hard all year to get a shot at competing
for the MLS Cup and nobody is willing to give that up without a fight. The players in the MLS have grown up playing the sport
that they love and are out there s much to advance the popularity of the sport in the United States. Soccer is the most popular
sport in the world and gives birth to the most fervent and dedicated fans. One step into a stadium when the local national
team is playing and you will understand what all of the fuss is about. Unrelenting action, otherworldly footwork, stunning
slide tackles, and mind blowing, acrobatic saves by goalkeepers will have you seeing exactly why soccer is referred to as
"the beautiful game." You will be chanting and singing along and barely even need to use your seat as move after move will
have you jumping up and cheering for the home team. By the time the referee blows the final whistle you will be anxiously
