Red Wanting Blue
The rock band Red Wanting Blue was formed by Scott Terry while he was a student at Ohio University
in 1995. By 1996, the band had already released their debut album, "Velveteen," and they quickly followed up with their second
album in 1998, "The Image Trigger." During this time, the band was starting to gain a following, and when they released their
next album, they were positioned to become a breakthrough hit. Red Wanting Blue's third studio album, "Model Citizen," proved
to be just what the band needed to garner national attention. The album produced the popular song "Audition," which was eventually
used by Abercrombie and Fitch to play in their nationwide stores, and it was later featured on television in addition to receiving
airtime on the radio.
In the wake of their breakthrough album, Red Wanting Blue released their fourth studio album,
"Sirens," and they subsequently embarked on a national tour in support of the album. After returning home from their tour,
the quickly rising rock band got to work on their fifth studio album, "Souvenirs of City Life," which was released in 2002.
Upon its release, fans everywhere were scrambling to get their hands on the album, and the band was able to embark on an extensive
tour, joining acts from the likes of O.A.R., N.E.R.D, 311, and The Roots.
With five impressive studio albums under their
belt, Red Wanting Blue went on to release their sixth studio album, "Pride: The Cold Lover," in 2004. The album was number
1 on the Aware Records online store, which was their second album to achieve this feat. Many of the album's songs were featured
on television and XM Satellite Radio, and the band enjoyed a new wave of fans from their increased exposure through the media.
Wanting Blue continued to release a number of successful albums throughout the years that followed, including "These Magnificent
Miles" in 2008, which was later re-released after the band signed with Fanatic Records. The re-release of "These Magnificent
Miles" saw attendance double in size at concerts, and their single "Where You Wanna Go" became a radio hit. The band found
even more success with their 2011 album, "From the Vanishing point," which made it to the number 10 position on the Billboard
Heatseekers chart. The album spawned popular singles like "Stay on the Bright Side" and "White Snow."
Blue Breakthrough Album
Red Wanting Blue made an impressive debut with their album, "Velveteen," which was followed
by "The Image Trigger." However, it was the band's third album, "Model Citizen," that really propelled them to success. Their
music was soon gaining national airplay, and they began touring extensively. The band continued to release albums that were
met with praise, and their career took another turning point when "Magnificent Miles" was re-released. Proving to be what
they needed to break into the mainstream, the album took Red Wanting Blue's music to the next level. By July of 2012, Red
Wanting Blue had made their television debut on the Late Show with David Letterman, and they later appeared on VH1's "Big
Morning Buzz Live" and NPR's Mountain Stage program. The band currently has a 10th studio album in the works, and it is slated
for a release date of July 1, 2014.
