Restless Heart Background
Restless Heart was initially
the brainchild of Nashville producer Tim DuBois, who formed the band in 1984 to record some of the demos that he had written.
While DuBois merely wanted a group of musicians to record and showcase his songs, this band evolved into something much bigger.
The initially lineup of Restless Heart consisted of John Dittrich, Paul Gregg, Dave Innis, Greg Jennings, and Verlon Thompson.
Over three decades later, the lineup remains virtually the same, with the one substitution of Larry Stewart for Verlon Thompson.
When a band has been together for as long as Restless Heart has, it is almost unheard of to stick with the same lineup, yet
that is just part of Restless Heart's attraction—they have remained intact for three decades, proving that they are
one of the most enduring bands in music.
Restless Heart released their eponymous first album in 1984, which featured
three top 10 country singles, such as "Til I Loved You" and "I Want Everyone To Cry". From then on, Restless Heart's momentum
continued to snowball, and they were soon one of the biggest names in country music. They scored several gold albums and 26
charting singles, including their major crossover hit, "When She Cries". With several charting country hits and incredible
acclaim to their name, Restless Heart has been an extraordinarily influential band in country music. Although they took a
few brief hiatuses in the '90s, they have been back in action since 2002, and now they are ready to bring their hit country
songs to a venue near you! If you love country music, make sure that you have your tickets to see one of the most well-known
