NCAA basketball tickets to the Richmond Spiders home games have been available to U of R fans since the basketball program started decades ago. The Richmond Spiders developed the nickname the "Giant Killers" by knocking off top ranked college basketball teams in the NCAA Basketball Tournament as 12, 13, 14, and 15 seeds.
