Born LaDonna Andre Gaines in 1948, Summer grew up in Boston. She sang in her church choir and in theater productions as a young woman. Later, she traveled Europe and joined the Viennese Folk Opera. She worked extensively in Europe before making it big in America with her disco hits.
Though her best known song is “I Will Survive,” Summer has released albums long after the disco era ended. Her newest album, released in 2008, is “Crayons.” Prepare to see Summer perform the hits off this album live. Get tickets today!
