        Comedian Rick Mercer was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and he came to the public’s attention in the early ‘90s with his political satire-based production Show Me the Button, I’ll Push It. 1992’s I’ve Killed Before, I’ll Kill Again gained even more fame for the jokester and Talking to Americans pushed him over the edge, making Mercer a bona fide comedian in the national spotlight. His current show Rick Mercer Report is still a registered crowd-pleaser.
