Riot Fest Chicago History
Riot Fest launched in Chicago,
catering to the fans of phenomenal underground music. The festival was started by music fans with a passion for do-it-yourself
shows and reduced ticket prices. Over the years, Riot Fest has spread out to encompass other cities as hosts but Chicago holds
its standing as the festival's leading event. It continuously accommodates almost three times as many acts as the other cities
like Dallas, Denver, Brooklyn and Toronto do.
In the past, several of the Windy City's leading venues were used to host
the event, including places like Congress Theater, Metro, Double Door, Cobra Lounge and Subterranean.
In 2012, Humboldt
Park became the home to Riot Fest in Chicago. Fans are privy to the beautiful surroundings, which include the Chicago skyline,
gardens and lagoons. Riot Fest in Chicago also grew that year to offer music lovers gourmet treats, wrestling, games, rides
as well as three stages.
This year promises even more stuff to do and see, so make sure you grab your tickets in advance
