Rise Against has been one of the most successful politically-influenced punk bands in the country. Chicago is known better for its blues and hip-hop scene, but Rise Against launched itself out of the band's punk community in 1999. The band was added to the Vans Warped Tour in 2003, which brought them a lot of exposure and helped them develop a national following.
