About Roach Gigz
Roach Gigz got his first start in music when he was involved with Youth Radio, which was a nonprofit organization in the East
Bay Area that reaches out to the local youth by providing them with opportunities. It was at that time when Roach Gigz began
to show an interest in rapping. By 2006, he started secretly rapping in his closet with a microphone, and slowly started to
perform his hip hop songs for his peers. His songs were well received, and he took the next step by forming his own hip hop
duo with fellow rapper Lil4Tay. In 2010, Roach Gigz had released his first mixtape called "Roachy Balboa," which became a
fixture on local radio stations, and caught the attention of major music publications. He was later selected as one of the
top 10 freshman rappers of the Bay Area.
His major single "Can I Rap" was also released in 2010, and the YouTube video
for the song received over one million views. His next mixtape "Roachy Balboa 2" was released in early 2011, followed by another
later that summer. By 2012, Roach Gigz was ready to release his debut album, "Bugged Out."
