As a member of the classic band the Greyboy Allstars, Robert Walter built a large and devoted following from the band's
very start in 1993. Influenced by soul-jazz and funk records from the 1960s and 70s, the Greyboy Allstars juxtaposed jazz
improvisation and dance music, taking audiences on wild rides that ran the spectrum of sounds and elicited all kinds of dancing.
The Greyboy Allstars also served as the band for Robert's first solo record, Spirit of '70, which also featured saxophonist
