Hailing from L. A., Robin Thicke is a self-taught pianist, who
by the age of 16 was penning and producing his own tunes for renowned artists like Brian McKnight, Brandy and Color Me Badd.

Thicke's successful sophomore release, The Evolution
Of Robin Thicke (2006), generated hits like "Lost Without U." The tune became the No. 1 most played song in Urban Adult Contemporary
BDS and landed at the top of four Billboard charts at the same time. Thicke cemented his status as one of the most revered
singer/songwriters in the R&B and soul genres on the music scene today.
A year later Thicke was on the road with
Beyonce and made two appearances on the Oprah show.
The award-winning, multi-platinum megastar stepped back into the
spotlight in 2008 with Something Else. The album served as a contemporary homage to the 70's era filled with remarkable pop
and soul hits that inspired Thicke's career. Lauded by critics as one of the greatest soul albums to eclipse the music scene
in years, this '70s-tinged album addressed topics of love, poverty and racism in hits like "The Sweetest Love," "Magic," and
"Dreamworld." The title for the album is certainly fitting - the effort is truly 'something else.' It made its way to No.
3 on the Billboard 200 when it first arrived, and it is currently his highest charting album to this very day. He secured
another Top 10 hit track with "Magic," which claimed the No. 2 spot on the urban charts. And his song, "Tie My Hands," resonated
with Lil' Wayne so much that he included it on his record-shattering album, The Carter 3. Thicke and Lil' Wayne collaborated
on the song at the Grammy Awards ceremony in 2009, and not long after, Thicke set out on a tour with Mary J. Blige.
the close of 2009, Thicke issued the album, Sex Therapy. The album conveyed an erotic fantasy world, while still addressing
the issues of betrayal, loneliness and seduction. Critics billed the title track, "Sex Therapy," as "the sexiest song of the
year." It forged ahead to the No. 1 spot on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts and also claimed an ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Award.
December of 2011, Thicke's fifth studio album dropped. Love After War featured the title single, "Love After War," which shot
to No. 1 on Urban AC and remained at the top for two weeks. Critics once again applauded Thicke's efforts, with Entertainment
Weekly coining the album as "ever-seductive." And the Associated Press dubbing the album as a "must buy." Other songs off
the album include "An Angel on Each Arm," "Never Give Up," "Cloud 9," "Tears On My Tuxedo" and "Pretty Lil' Heart."
