Rockford Lightning tickets are available, and the oldest member of the Continental
Basketball Association (CBA) has been attracting and keeping fans for nearly 30 years. The Lightning have moved around a bit
during their journey, but they now play at the MetroCentre, and the team is beloved by those in Rockford who don't have other
options for professional sports tickets.
The Lightning were founded in 1978 as the Lancaster Red Roses, and they stayed in Pennsylvania until 1980. They moved to
Philadelphia but returned to Lancaster after only one season. From there, the team moved to Baltimore for one season in 1985
and then ultimately to Rockford, where they have called home since 1986. The team's alumni include NBA players such as Bruce
Bowen and Earl Boykins, and the team is always a draw in Rockford.
