They formed the bachata group, Aventura, popularizing the genre with hits that lit up the Billboard Latin charts. The band's song, Obsesion, climbed to No. 1 in Italy for 16 weeks in a row. Today Romeo Santos is a solo artist, and his debut solo album, Formula, was released in 2011.
