The Round Rock Express started off as the Edmonton Trappers, but were purchased by Nolan Ryan and his son Reid in 2003 and moved to Austin following the 2004 season. The Pacific Coast League is one of three AAA minor league baseball leagues, which is just one step below Major League Baseball and regularly sends up some of their best players who become superstars at the highest level.
