        The RPI Field House was constructed following the massive return of war veterans from World War II, and the enormous building officially opened to the public in 1949. Located in Troy, New York on the campus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the RPI Field House holds 4,780 spectators and is the second oldest hockey arena in the ECAC Hockey League (behind Princeton’s Hobey Baker Memorial Rink.)
