San Antonio Spurs Road Schedule in 2013-14

The San Antonio Spurs are prepared to tour the country this season in search of victories against all of the top teams in the National Basketball Association. The Spurs have a veteran team that is fresh off reaching the NBA Finals and coming extremely close to winning the NBA Championship. This Spurs team has the potential to return to the NBA Finals, as they are again looking like one of the top teams out West. San Antonio will not have an easy road to another high seed in the Western Conference playoffs, but this group knows what it takes to win consistently in the long grind that is the 82-game NBA regular season. This team will take to the road to battle it out with the top teams in the conference, jockeying for position in the standings all along the way.

The Spurs will most definitely be looking forward to heading out to Oklahoma City this season to take on the Thunder. The Thunder represent perhaps the biggest threat to the Spurs conference title hopes, and it may come down to who earns the top seed in the conference when it comes down to deciding home court advantage in the Conference Finals. San Antonio will also be facing off with other tough teams throughout the conference, such as the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers. You can be there at some of the best arenas in all the land to see the Spurs match up with all of the best teams in the NBA.

San Antonio Spurs Team Info

The San Antonio Spurs take part in the Southwest Division, where they they're pitted against the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans for the divisional crown on an annual basis. The Spurs have been a dominant force in the Western Conference for more than a decade, winning several championships along the way. While the cornerstone of this organization, big man Tim Duncan, is certainly in the twilight of his career, this team continues to perform at the highest level, evidenced by their winning the Western Conference Championship last season. The Spurs came within seconds of winning the NBA title, but the Miami Heat prevailed thanks to some late-game heroics from LeBron James and Ray Allen. The Spurs return this season ready to get back to the NBA Finals, and they again appear to be one of the best teams in the Western Conference. With Duncan defying the aging process better than most big men throughout history, this team still has a reliable post option on offense that remains a very solid defender down low. The best player on the Spurs currently is probably point guard Tony Parker, who is in the prime of his career. Parker is a blur on the court and excels at getting to the basket with his quickness. The club also has a young player oozing potential in forward Kawhi Leonard, who could be the next star for this organization in the future, but for now remains a valuable role player that defers to the veterans on this team. The Spurs will be traveling all over this season in search of victories, and they've got some great road matchups coming down the pipe in 2013-14.

Fan Experience

The NBA experience is all it's made out to be, as being there in person to see some of the top athletes in the world is something that fans never forget. The arena is always packed to the brim with screaming hoops fans that can't get enough NBA action, and that makes for a great time every time out. Attending a road game where your favorite team is away from home is a fun experience, and also gives you a great feel for how your team performs when they're backs are against the wall. Be there this season to see the Spurs take on some of the best teams in the league away from San Antonio, TX.
