San Diego Padres spring training tickets are now available. San Diego is only a few hours drive from Peoria Stadium on the outskirts of Phoenix. The Padres will be hosting plenty of in-state rivals, such as the Dodgers, Angels, Giants and A's, so there will be plenty of fans supporting all the teams out at the ball park this March.
A San Diego Tradition since 1969 has been to get MLB tickets to see the Padres play a little preseason baseball in Arizona. The team had played in Yuma until the 1994 season, when they changed venues to Peoria, outside of Phoenix. The Padres share the stadium with the Seattle Mariners.
With the perfect weather that San Diego typically has year round, it's a wonder that the team feels a need to travel to Arizona every spring. Playing in the Cactus League is a yearly tradition, though, and plenty of loyal Padres supporters will make the relatively short drive out to the desert to see the Friars warm up for the regular season.
