        The University of Toledo men's and women's basketball teams both play all of their home games at John F. Savage hall, located on the Toledo Campus.         Savage Hall Tickets — About the Arena

        Savage Hall was built in 1976 as the home for the Rockets basketball program. Its former name was Centennial Hall, though it was changed to Savage Hall to honor a Toledo alum who helped raise funds to construct the arena. The Savage Hall seating chart can hold about 9,000 people for basketball games, but when it I arranged for a concert it can hold over 10,000.

        The University of Toledo Rockets play in the Mid-American conference, so they will be regularly hosting the games of teams like the Central Michigan Chippewas, the Ohio University Bobcats, the Akron Zips, and their chief rivals, the Bowling Green State Falcons. When the Falcons and the Rockets meet, the basketball games can be fiercely fought. The name of their rivalry is called the " Battle for I-75," as both universities are located on the same interstate.
