Spawned out of Don King's touring band, Sawyer Brown was created in 1980 after King stopped touring and the band liked working together. Named after the Nashville Street where they rehearsed, the boys found success in the talent show Star Search and have continued to commercialize on their country roots into the most recent millennium.
Though Star Search may have gotten their name on the map, the country rock group Sawyer Brown has seen a long career thanks to their dedication, funky lyrics and long time love for all things country.
