If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you pray for sunshine and Seattle Supersonics playoff tickets. The Sonics are in the postseason once again, and that means that sports fans in Washington will be filling up Key Arena for every playoff home game.
During the early 1990s, NBA tickets to see the Sonics' playoff games were some of the hardest sports tickets in America to get. Shawn "the Rainman" Kemp and Gary "the Glove" Payton kept the Sonics constantly in contention for the NBA title, but could not pull off a championship, losing to the Bulls in the '96 NBA Finals.
The Supersonics are a team that could quickly emerge to prominence in the Western Conference with only minimal tinkering. The Sonics made the Conference Semifinals in 2005, and failed to make the playoffs in '06, leaving the fans in Seattle hungry to purchase playoff tickets the next time they come around.
