Born with the dream of playing a hot American fiddle, Shoji Tabuchi first set his dream in motion when he saw Roy Acuff perform in Japan. It wasn't long before the young Tabuchi made it to Nashville and was making numerous appearances on the Grand Ole Opry. Then Tabuchi took a gamble and opened his own elaborate theater in Branson, MI. This incredible venue has been his home for 22 years, and Tabuchi shows no signs of slowing down.
Although Tabuchi has never produced a recording on a major label, the Japanese-born fiddler ranks among the most popular musicians in the United States. Since erecting his one-of-a-kind theater, he's created a multi-million dollar entertainment empire. He employs about 200 people at his elaborate 2,000-seat theater in Branson, Missouri, where he performs two shows daily during most of the year, often selling out the shows. Now he's taking that show on the road to show audiences his wild take on country music.
Of course Tabuchi plays onstage himself and pulls a mean fiddle, but there's also his wife and up-and-coming star daughter who occasionally grace the stage alongside him.
