If you're ever around the Pacific Northwest, one of the places to stop is definitely the ShoWare Center, a top-tier venue that has been around for a long time putting on one amazing show or game after another. Kent, Washington is one of the jewels of Washington that has a flavor all to its own, though the local hockey scene is one of the best things that you can do if you're looking for entertainment. The Junior League Hockey, represented by the Seattle Thunderbirds at ShoWare Center, is just one of those sports leagues that you have to participate in to participate, as hearing the local radio jockey talk about how exciting they are just isn't going to get the job done. Instead, come out and see it all for yourself as the Thunderbirds light up the back of the net with one intense slapshot after another in a season sure to be loaded with nail-biting moments.

ShoWare Center Events

Sure, it's not bad watching hockey from your fancy flatscreen TV, but it's something different entirely to actually be there when the game is getting close and your team is digging in with their eyes set on pulling down a big win. BMO Bradley Center is absolutely filled to the brim with passionate fans from event to event, and it doesn't get any better than seeing the Seattle Thunderbirds do their thing in front of a live audience that poured into the stands to see the game the way it was meant to be seen.

But not only are the Thunderbirds games packed with excitable fans, you can also catch a variety of other local sports events, like prominent girls and boys high school basketball games that bring together the most talented kids in the area.

Kent, Washington

Located less than a half-hour from Seattle, Kent Washington is the perfect little getaway if you're looking for entertainment. Not only does Kent have plenty of concerts and prominent sporting events, but it also has an amazing history that goes all the way back to 1890, the year it was founded. The town grew into a city that now has a population nearing 100,000, making it the perfect fit if you love small cities that feel a lot bigger.

Kent is also the original home of Boeing, the world-class manufacturer of various aeronautical supplies. Boeing has been working out of Kent since the late-1960s, when it played a crucial role in helping the U.S. reach its goal of landing on the moon. Yup, Kent is the place for talent and dreamers, which is exactly what you'll see first-hand if you make it out to see a great game at ShoWare Center.

ShoWare Center Seating Layout

Whether you're on the right, left or somewhere in the center, you're bound to get a great game if you make it out to the ShoWare Center. No, we're not talking about governmental impasses and political theater; we're talking about the elegant seating arrangement of the ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington. There isn't a bad seat in the house, which is something that you really won't understand until you actually make it out to see it for yourself. Once you're there watching one of your favorite musicians, the last thing you'll be thinking about is your seat, however, as you'll be jumping out of it all too often from one ballad to the next as great entertainers bring the house down.

With a great crowd from night to night, this is just one of those places that you absolutely need to be a part of sooner or later if you love big-time concert events, and one look at the schedule and you'll see plenty of prominent concert events that you know you'll want to see up close and personal.

Did you know that ShoWare Center is also occasional home to the Rat City Rollergirls?

No, that's not an early nickname for a Heather Graham role in a Paul Thomas Anderson film, as it's the name of the always entertaining professional Flat Track Derby Association squad that always is in the middle of one amazing game or another. If you don't know what the Flat Track Derby Association is, the best way to remedy that is to just make it out to ShoWare Center to see it with your own eyes, as these girls can fly around the rink in a way that could make your eyes spin.

The Flat Track Derby Association isn't just a national phenomenon, however, as it has competitors from a wide variety of countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Columbia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Norway Sweden and the U.K.

But the main draw tends to remain the Thunderbirds, a talented Junior Hockey League team that is always in the middle of one amazing show or another.
