Ogres are scary, at least that is what most ogres want you to believe. Shrek is an ogre who lives in a swamp and prefers
to be left along at all times. That plan gets disrupted when fairy-tale creates are exiled to his swamp by the ruler of the
land, Lord Farquaad. Shrek's adventure begins when he decides to go talk to Lord Farquaad about his predicament.
Of course, Shrek isn't
necessarily received well once he enters the castle, because most people are scared of ogres. He is joined by a talking donkey
who decides to follow Shrek from the swamp despite Shrek's insistence otherwise. Shrek strikes a deal with the ruler: if Shrek
frees a princess guarded by a dragon and brings her back for Lord Farquaad to marry, his swamp will be his again.
The story of Shrek first captivated fans as a hit film. Then, it became a hit theater
show with music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire. The new musical version of this favorite
tale includes songs like "Story of My Life," "Morning Person," "When Words Fail," "Build a Wall" and "I'm a Believer." Hear
